This policy explains the information SalonSight may collect and how it is used, protected, retained, and deleted.

Information SalonSight may collect

SalonSight may collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, salon name, account details, client and salon records entered into the service, demo or pilot requests, and support communications. SalonSight may also collect technical information needed to operate and secure the service, such as browser type, device information, IP address, and service activity.

Connected services and social media

If a salon chooses to connect a third-party service such as Facebook or Instagram, SalonSight may receive and use information that the user authorizes through that service. Depending on the connected feature, this may include account or page identifiers, profile or page names, permissions, tokens, and information needed to provide the requested integration.

SalonSight does not use a connected social-media account beyond the permissions granted by the user and the functions the salon chooses to use. Users may disconnect Facebook or Instagram through their Meta account settings or through available SalonSight connection controls.

How information is used

• Provide, maintain, and improve SalonSight features.
• Authenticate users and keep salon information appropriately scoped.
• Operate requested integrations, including connected social-media features.
• Respond to support, demo, pilot, and account requests.
• Protect the service against abuse, fraud, and security threats.

Sharing and service providers

SalonSight may use trusted service providers to host, secure, communicate, and operate the service. Information is shared only as reasonably necessary to provide those functions, comply with law, protect rights and safety, or complete a business transaction involving SalonSight.

Data retention and deletion

SalonSight retains information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, meet legitimate business and legal requirements, and resolve disputes. Users may request deletion of applicable personal information and connected-social-account data through the SalonSight Data Deletion page.

Security

SalonSight uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards intended to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, and users are responsible for protecting their account credentials and device access.

Children

SalonSight is a business service intended for salons and professional users and is not directed to children.

Changes to this policy
