Salon inventory management software

Salon inventory management for the color room.

SalonSight connects professional hair color inventory to formulas and client services so salons can see what they have, what was used, and what may be needed for upcoming color work.

Color inventory tracking

Track the products that matter to color services

Receive professional color products into salon, shared, or stylist inventory pools and keep product identity, package information, quantity, cost, and reorder levels together.

Scan barcodes as products arrive. When a barcode isn’t in the catalog yet, SalonSight looks the product up online and sends the salon owner a suggested match to approve. Product costs stay visible to owners, and to team members only when the owner allows it.

During the service, stylists can scan each tube straight into the formula as they mix, so the products used — and the inventory deducted — match what was actually in the bowl.

When formulas are recorded, SalonSight can connect actual product usage back to inventory rather than leaving color consumption in a separate notebook or spreadsheet.

Receiving & barcodes

Receive products with barcode or manual catalog selection and place them in the correct inventory pool.

Transfers & usage

Move stock between permitted salon and stylist pools and record service usage.

Upcoming needs

Use scheduled color work and usable formula history to identify shortages, transfer opportunities, or items that need review.

Inventory + formulation

Know what is available before the service

Because the inventory picture is connected to the formula workflow, SalonSight can help identify when a selected product is short before mixing begins. That makes inventory management part of the service workflow instead of a separate periodic task.
